Meet Up & Parking: There are no public use facilities at Karen Marcus Ocean Park Preserve, so volunteers will meet at Jupiter Ridge Natural Area – 1800 S. U.S. Highway 1 - Jupiter
Duration: 9 a.m. to noon (We are transporting volunteers to Karen Marcus Ocean Park Preserve – please arrive no later than 9:10 a.m. – otherwise you’ll miss your ride!)
Directions: From I-95 exit at Donald Ross Road – head east on Donald Ross Road to U.S. Highway 1 – turn left and head north on U.S. Highway 1 for roughly 2.5 miles – the entrance to the natural area is located on the west side of U.S. Highway 1 (just north of the Bluffs development).
Additional Information: Volunteers should wear long pants, long-sleeved shirts, (protect your arms from getting scratched by the vegetation) sneakers or hiking boots. Hats and sunscreen are recommended – we will be working in open areas with little to no shade. Restroom facilities are not available at the site. The Department will supply tools, gloves, and refreshments. Event participation is limited to the first 15 volunteers who register.
Registration: The volunteer projects are designed for volunteers ages 16 and older. Volunteers 15 and under must be accompanied by parent or guardian.
